Inspired by Sacks' Awakenings*, this tells of the epidemic
spreading over Europe in 1916/1917 identified by Constantin von
Economo as encephalitis lethargica - Sleeping Sickness. Over 4 million
victims suffered or died, but there were some remarkable survivors who
erupted into life many years later, on receiving the new drug
