BedlamB Theatre - The Players
|
Almost all the Company were trained by Craig
Snelling at the Actors’ Studio. Following graduation
the group formed BedlamB. The Company’s first production was by Kim Sanger White and Joe
Clark. Now there are 11 key production members who participate in all aspects of
production, directing, acting, stage, set props, publicity and generally
whatever it takes to put on a show!
Often, our work tends to explore the subject of dysfunctional
personalities and the disorder of life. Over the past 6-7 years our productions have included previously
published work by well known playwrights. We are always working on devising projects and
regularly hold new play readings.

Our Name
It would seem acceptable to say that we got our name from
the section of South East London where we trained, near the site
of the original Bedlam Asylum. The truth of the matter is – it took us too long
to decide on a name and someone shouted “its bedlam here!” and thus we
were born. The final B serves to differentiate us from the other theatre group based in Scotland.
